“What a beautiful project.

Thank you for making me and all of the other women feel seen”

(Project Participant)

The effect of enduring mental illness is increasingly apparent on our streets.

It is a societal issue , with a cost to the individual sufferer, as well as families, the wider community and society in general.

The Missing Project has therefore been exhibited in a range of public spaces, including streets, museums, libraries and railway stations.

Banners were hung outside City Lit, Covent Garden as part of their annual Mental Wealth Festival in Oct 2024 and Oct 2025.

Posters were displayed on Deal Station Platform to coincide with World Mental Health Day in Oct 2024.

Displays were created at Deal and Ramsgate Libraries for both Suicide Prevention Day and also Mental Health Awareness Week.

Exhibitions and participatory performances took place at

the Beaney House of Art & Knowledge in Canterbury, as well as

the Lighthouse Music & Arts Pub in Walmer.

Further displays and events are planned for the coming months .
